How to install XOOPS

You want to install XOOPS to create a website, this tutorial is here to help you
For a good preparation, it is advised to prepare all the files on your computer before sending them to your server.
The first step is to extract the files contained in the archive:
docs
extra
htdocs
upgrade
CONTRIBUTING.md
LICENSE
README.md
release_notes.txt
For a new installation you can keep only the folder:
htdocs
Vous pouvez maintenant copier le dossier htdocs of the translation in the htdocs folder of XOOPS
Security
For security reasons, the folder xoops_data and xoops_lib must be outside of the site root.
Originally these are in the htdocs, they need to be put at the same level as this folder:
htdocs
xoops_data
xoops_lib

For security reasons, the folder xoops_data et xoops_lib should be renamed with a random name.
